『鳥取県の民家』を訪ねて（23）
赤子田でインパルス実習
8月7日（水）。試験期間中ですが、前期の最終ゼミをおこないました。
今年の夏休みもまたブータンに行きます。9月4日～11日に予定されている第8次調査は、昨年訪れたプナカからさらに奥に進んでポプジカをメインフィールドとする予定です。ところが、新規でブータン調査に参加する３年２名は測量の経験がまったくないため、最終ゼミを利用してレーザ測距・測角儀インパルスの演習をおこなおうということになりました。また、ベンチマーク（BM）にはGPS座標を書き込まなければなりません。
このさい転んでもただではおきない、というか、どうせ測量やるなら、いま研究室が取り組んでいる「『鳥取県の民家』を訪ねて」プロジェクトの対象家屋を測量しようということになり、大学に近い№023⑧西尾家（6月12日に調査）に電話で依頼したところ、当日であるにも拘わらずご快諾いただき、早速５名で馳せ参じた次第です。
今回は主に3年生2名がインパルスの操作方法を院生ガキオさんから学び、実際にスコープを覗いて座標を方眼紙に書き込んでいきました。わたしが屋根伏図を歩測で描いているあいだ、6月12日にドローン撮影した写真のプリントに測量点と座標を書き込んでいきました。ポイントの定め方やデータを大量書き込みに苦戦しているようでしたが、慣れてくると3年生2名の連係もよくなり、ブータンでも安心だなぁと思いました。
私（バレー）は現状の屋根伏配置図を描いていきました。『鳥取県の民家』（1974）に掲載されている西尾家の配置図には主屋がありますが、数年前になくなってしまったので、昔の配置図と比べるのが面白かったです。民家変容のパターンで言うと、主屋が撤去されているD類であり、旧主屋の基礎跡を描けるので貴重な新資料になります。わたしが描いた屋根伏配置図にもインパルスで測量した座標データを書き込みました。
ここで一つ忘れていたことがあります。インパルスで分かるのは北緯・東経（X・Y座標）のみですから、高度計をもっていかなければなりません。
測量練習後、ファミレスCで、ブータンにもっていくものや出発の集合時間・場所などを整理しました。テストも終わって、いよいよ夏休み。9月にブータンを再訪できるのが今から楽しみです。（バレー）
